The original lions were carved for the magnificent tomb of Pope Clement XIII in St. Peter's Basilica, Rome, where they remain among Canova's most celebrated works.
These museum-quality reproductions have been handcrafted using a premium dry-cast process containing 90% Carrara marble, capturing the beautiful detail and timeless elegance of the originals. One lion lies awake, symbolising vigilance and strength, while the other rests peacefully, representing moderation and quiet wisdom.
